Object generator

The Object Generator (OG) is a tool for creating lists of astronomical objects.
The tool is divided in two parts: in the first part, the ''on sky'' section, it is possible to create list of stars or galaxies according to a selected flux and spatial distribution on the sky. In the second part of the tool the “on sky’ object distribution is converted into a list of targets on the chosen detector. This is based on the platescale of the selected instrument. This is the list of objects that can be given as input in the AETC tool to simulate the observation of a field of targets with a given instrumentation.
